Organizations utilizing Microsoft’s SharePoint 2003/2007 and Autonomy’s IDOL Server need access to Autonomy from within their corporate portal site, but the only way to do it is with an external application.  It’s unfamiliar, and delays the sharing of information, collaboration, and decision making.

Single Access to Your Autonomy Data
Using MicroLink’s Autonomy Integrated Suite for SharePoint, knowledge workers can maximize capabilities of Autonomy’s IDOL Server from within SharePoint.  Plus, web parts support data sharing, synchronization with other web parts, and access to data agnostic digital content.

Increase Productivity by Eliminating Lag Time
Through the user friendly SharePoint interface, the Autonomy Integrated Suite for SharePoint eliminates the time between finding the information needed and the time it takes to react to that information.  Using the Autonomy Integrated Suite for SharePoint:

  • Speeds up the ability to to react to data and communicate information, since information discovery is through one interface
  • Saves cost by eliminating the need for internal coding
  • Enhances quality of service by providing information quicker
  • Improves knowledge worker productivity by helping stakeholders make faster and more informed decisions

Agents Web Part allows users to create personalized agents which continually monitor information related to specific topics from multiple data sources and can be re-trained by the user.

Profiling Web Part displays interest profiles for each user that are automatically created by the IDOL server by tracking the content viewed by each user.

Channels Web Part displays shared taxonomies tailored to the information needs of an organization, department or business role. The Autonomy search engine can automatically provide users with an organized hierarchical display of channels in an interface that users can easily browse for content relevant to the channels.

Clustering Web Part displays the clusters that the IDOL server associates with large sets of data or profile information in graphical formats and dynamic lists that are driven by documents that have either been recently published or accessed.

Community Collaboration Web Part matches users with common explicit interest or implicit profile agents.
